About Us

Jazlyn Hyder (Owner/Director)

 

Jazlyn grew up in Roosevelt Utah, she is trained in Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet, Point, Acrobatic Tumbling, Ballroom and Hip-Hop. In High School Jazlyn served two years as Drill Mistress. She was an All State Drill Team member, three of the four years as a Drill Team member. She was also awarded Dance Sterling Scholar. Jazlyn has won numerous solo titles; Miss Dance/Drill Team Utah, Dance/Drill USA Nations Grand Solo Champion, Stars National Professional soloist, along with Battle of the Queens Over-All Winner.

After high School Jazlyn received her education form Utah Valley University, Majoring in Dance Education. While attending Utah Valley University she was a member of the Synergy Modern Dance Company and was able to train with some of the top dance companies and choreographers in Utah such as Odyssey Dance Theatre, Repertory Dance Theatre, Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company, and Raw Moves as well as having the great opportunity to tour and dance in Europe, taking classes from the Trinity Laban School of Dance. She was also awarded a scholar ship to dance and tour with Joe Tremaine as well as, with Destiny Crouse Line, and American Dance Festival.

Jazlyn is certified in Acrobatic Arts, Progressing Ballet Technique, and is always looking to expand her knowledge and abilities. She enjoys teaching and choreographing for numorous Drill Teams and Studios throughout the State of Utah. Along with teaching as lead instructor at Epic Dance Convension and Basic Dance Training that trains over 70 high Schools in Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, and Idaho.

She always knew she wanted to grow up and be a dance teacher. When Jazlyn moved back to Roosevelt to start her family she open Spot On Dance Studio and is excited to start their 5th season. 

 

Jazlyn encourages building self-esteem through challenging students to be the best they can be.

Jordan Walker

​

Jordan has been dancing since she was 3, and has a passion for dance and teaching. She is currently getting a degree in Elementary Education. 

​

Dance has given her many opportunities, in high school she was a member of the Drill Team, and also president of the Theatre Club. Jodan was named Kings Peak Outstanding Teen and enjoyed representing Roosevet at state where she was selected to be in the Top 10. 

​

Jordan has choreographed award winning solos and team routines along with having her dances nominated for Best Choreography awards. 

​

When Jordan isn't dancing she enjoys crafting, video games, sewing, knitting and playing with her adorable fur babies. 

​

She has been recently married and is excited to start teaching and inspiring the youth through dance. 

Kenzi McMullin

​

Kenzi was raised in the Basin since ages 3  and absolutely loves our community. She has a little boy named Ridge, He is wild and always keeps her on the move. 

​

In high school Kenzi was a Union High Cougarette for 3 years and loved being part of that team. She was able to make great memories and learn life lesson. 

​

Kenzi loves being able to teach the girls and watch them grow and develop their skill. She is looking forward to sharing her talents with us at Spot On Dance Studio. 

Julia Lamb (Ballet Director)

 

Julia is from Toronto Canada, she began dancing at the age of 4, she completed exams in R.A.D. (Royal Academy of Dance) syllabus earning honors at each level. Juliea studied at the Dancers Studio and then was accepted at They Royal Winnipeg ballet school of professional division. 

Kristena Hunsaker (Ballet Instructor)

 

Kristena moved to Roosevelt last year when her husband received a job as a coach and teacher at Union, and they love the Basin. Kristena is originally from Price Utah where she started dancing at age 7. She has always had a love for ballet from the beginning. 

She danced at USU Eastern as a junior in high school. She excelled in Carbon High Drill Team and served as Ballet Technician and Drill Mistress teaching her team, leaning, and choreographing routines. 

​

She danced with the Cedar City Junior Ballet Company and later helped start the Castle Calley Civic Ballet Company in Price that performs the Nutcracker each year. She loves supporting the dance community and fulfilled a life long dream of seeing the NYC ballet theater perform at the Met. 

​

She has a beautiful daughter and one on the way that she hopes fallow in her foot steps. 

​

Kristena loves to help and uplift others and believes in the magic of dance. 

​

Holly Oman 

​

Holly grew up here in the basin and is now raising her beautiful children, three girls and one boy in Altamont. Dance and preforming has always been a passion to Holly, growing up she was a member of the Starts Show Team for 13 years. Along with being on the Union Cheer Squad for 3 years. 

​

She enjoyed using her skills and talents to help coach a Jr. Cheer and Tumbling class at Flipping Squad, until they closed their doors. She is now excited to join the Spot On Dance Family. 

Brenda Ross Tap Director 

​

Brenda is originally from Murray, Ut. were she started dancing at the age of 3 doing ballet, lyrical, tap, jazz and gymnastics.

​

After her husband talked her into moving to Roosevelt after already moving 15 times prior she refuses to move again and calls Roosevelt home. They have 6 kids together and have been married for 15 years.

 

She has loved teaching at Spot On and always looks forward to her little tappers and the joy they find by making their feet talk while dancing away.
